Today is March the 21st. The 80th day of the year in the Gregorian calend-- Oh, wait. You've already heard this shit before.
Well, what can I say? Another year of 'The Laconic Student's Dilemma'? How crazy is that! Re-reading last year's anniversary page made me cringe a whole lot. Very tryhard and honestly my art has improved leagues since then. I also think that my characters' personalities and backstories are more solidified now and my works are something to finally be proud of for once. Honestly, I think besides all that, the BIGGEST change of all was converting the comics into a written format. I'd debated doing that for a while, and my goodness has my creative output improved! I feel like, through writing, I'm able to tell the story I want to tell more accurately. I also have had some more time to thoroughly think things through and plan everything out. Like, did you guys know I have a planned ENDING for the story already?! Yeah. I've been pretty meticulous!
Anyway, I hope to finish book volume one soon. I'm getting closer, I'd say I'm about a little over halfway done. This series won't be ending for some time, so don't worry about that. I have lots of different arcs that still need to be explored, and characters that we haven't met yet. So stay tuned, and don't touch that dial!
This year's recap is a lot shorter because I honestly don't have all that much to say or show off. I think my late 2025/early 2026 art output has been substantial and I'm very glad to have improved in both style and technique. I hope to keep improving my art, and I hope to keep writing. Here's to many many MANY MANY MANYYYYYY more great years of 'The Laconic Student's Dilemma' and Palmist's House!
"One of these days, gonna get into it way on over our heads
And you'll find that there's no place to hide
But if you fight and if you fail, don't fall back into yourself
You can fall back on me."
- Camper Van Beethoven (not my writing but lyrics I felt encapsulated the story of LSD pretty well haha)
