These Endless Summer Days

Even though it’s the middle of summer, the weather hasn’t been too bad lately. There’s been a nice breeze, so it keeps it from feeling too hot outside. In the evenings, I’ve enjoyed leaving my windows open to let the air in. I like being able to hear all the sounds of nature, like the wind rustling through the trees and the frogs and birds calling in the night. Sometimes I can hear the coyotes howling, too, although that’s not as common. My neighbors have windchimes in their yard, so sometimes when it’s REALLY windy I can hear them faintly from afar. I want some windchimes to put in my own yard. I think that would be nice.

Yesterday I went shopping for a new blanket and bedsheets. My old blanket was starting to fall apart, and I figured that it was likely time to buy some new sheets too. I think my new bedding is super cute! It goes well with my room, and it’s very comfy.

These sheets have the cutest pattern.

Also, since yesterday was the 4th of July, my family & I grilled some hamburgers and corn. It was really tasty! After that, we made s’mores. I hadn’t had s’mores in a long time, so it was a special treat. My town does a super big fireworks display every year, but I didn’t go this year. It always gets super crowded and I honestly didn’t feel like dealing with all the people. It’s not like I’m missing out on much since it’s always the same. Maybe I’ll go next year? I dunno. I guess we’ll see.

So far, this summer has been full of so much fun! I hope there are still many more fun experiences in store for me and all my friends and family ^_^
