҂ WENDY, THE FRANKENSTEIN ҂

A young girl who was brought back to life by the miraculous hands of a 'benevolent' mad scientist.

A scientific wonder, a fantasical freakish feat of marvellous modern medicine, she's paraded around the greater London area's various hospitals, boardrooms, and universities like a sideshow oddity to be poked and prodded at by all sorts of people-- ranging from zealous medical malpractioners to aspiring brain-surgery necromancers wanting to create their very own "Frankenstein Monster". She never had a say in any of this, and never asked to be brought back in the first place! If she'd had it her way, she'd be six feet under after that big car wreck... but of course, no one ever stops to consider her thoughts or feelings on important matters 'cause she's a child. Boo. That's no fun at all!

Her brain functions are quite low, and her body fails her every day. Life is quite painful, but time marches on slowly like a bloodthirsty solider returning to the frontlines. She's all stitched up, and quite ashamed of that nasty gash spread down the lengths of her face. Her left eye is completely blind, and her right eye is stuck in a hypertropic haze.

"FUN" FACTS
  • AGE: 14 at time of death, eternally unaging
  • GENDER: Female
  • SKILLS: Nothing much. Was good at chess
and logic puzzles while still 'alive'
  • LIKES: Storybooks & fairytales, chess (formerly),
                        pianos, being asleep, being anesthetized
  • DISLIKES: Cars, big dogs, needles, doctors, bright
                               lights, hospitals, taking medicine

  • One of my first drawings of her. She deserves to be happy like this every day, but the world is cruel.

    SHIT THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT
  • In her 'accident', she lost both of her hands. They haven't yet been able to give her new ones, so she hides her arms with long sleeves. Even if they were able to grant her some, they'd likely not function very well.
  • She moves very slowly, all things considered. It takes a great amount of strength for her to even sit upright in a chair let alone walk a few steps. She also has great difficulty talking and swallowing.
  • The left side of her body is decaying faster than the right side of her body (hence the white hair and blind eye) for reasons yet understood.
  • She's usually seen wearing some kind of uniform. At one point it belonged to her dear older brother, who was sadly taken from us in that horrid car wreck. They were unable to revive him.

    ADDITIONAL INFO

This was one of my very first original characters, first created in 2021 or so. She was part of this huge story I had made up for this album, the songs in order were of different significance to the plot and its characters.

After a while I grew bored and abandoned her world, my art & writing skills were unsatisfactory at the time and I eventually gave up drawing... until January or so of 2024, while listening to this album, which inspired me to create what perhaps is my "magnum opus"... 'The Laconic Student's Dilemma'! So yeah... Cardiacs won't stop inspiring me.

Maybe one day I'll return to this story if 'The Laconic Student's Dilemma' is ever completed. I think I'd be able to make it a lot better now... but who knows. - Angelina

"Poor soldier, now you've created your own monster." - Cardiacs, 'The Whole World Window'

Song is 'Embracing Emptiness' by Crowbar
