The magnificent hero(ine?) of our tale, and Anton's protégé, roommate, & (self-proclaimed) confidant

An immortal and undying sparrowhawk with powers beyond human comprehension. Despite their awe-inspiring abilities, they have a naïve deamanor and a great sense of (unwarranted) self-importance. Their origins are uncertain and their identity is something that is shrouded in mystery. For example, are they male or female? No one truly knows except for them!

Their main talent is pyrokinetics, but their powers are unwieldy due to a lack of discipline. They also possess the power of reincarnation, and have been reborn thousands of times. Additionally, as a bird, they have retractable wing feathers that can be used for flying. However, they are currently recovering from a horrible and traumatizing injury that makes it difficult to protract said feathers... they can also communicate with other avian lifeforms (some birds are kinder than others!)

Energetic and easily excitable, they'd prefer to spend their time playing video games and reading manga instead of practicing magic or listening to Anton's lectures. They're somewhat emotionally stunted and they tend not to think before they act or speak. Despite their shortcomings, they are generally pleasant to be around (which is something that cannot be said for Anton......)

SHIT THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT

They are dyspraxic and quite clumsy. They tend to get injured a lot and can seemingly trip over thin air. Luckily Anton's magic is still strong enough to patch up their worst cuts and bruises for the most part. Their fine motor skills are somewhat... lacking, due to their dyspraxia, but they manage alright regardless.

Because they are a phoenix, they are immune to burns and extreme heat. Their resting body temperature tends to be a couple degrees higher than the average human's at 100°F.

They have an odd propensity for eating inedible objects such as insects and crayons. This causes them to have frequent stomach upsets, but that does little to deter them. Their favorite insects to eat are beetles because of the "crunch".

Although their injuries are mostly healed, there is still some scarring on their left arm and chest. They are highly self-conscious about their scars.

Their iconic hairstyle comes as a result of them often neglecting to brush it. They have good personal hygeine most of the time, but are forgetful with certain tasks like brushing their hair and trimming their nails.

Their first appearances were very youthful-looking. I've gotten better at drawing more realistic proportions, and my art style is a little less "cartoony". Their hair is also slightly shorter now, but that was by mistake. I think it looks better, though. They look more like an older teen/young adult in their current form, which was my intention. I still worry about making them look too childish sometimes, art is hard hahaha.

All in all, I think their current appearance suits them the best. This is who they were meant to be all along.
