  • FAQ - PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING

    Decided it was about time to make one since I’ve been asked these questions quite a bit! Please read this before sending me an email; if your question is one that has been answered below I likely will not respond. Thank you for understanding^^;;

    How is your art produced?

All of my digital art is made in Microsoft Paint; this includes my animations as well. My traditional art is made using watercolors (don’t know the brand soz) and Prismacolor-brand colored pencils.

    Do you accept commissions?

Please check the shop page for commission status.

Can I use your art as inspiration for my own?

    Go ahead.

Can I make derivative works (e.g. fanart, fanfiction) that feature your characters?

Yes! If you do, I’d love to see it.

Can I use your art as an icon/profile picture for social media?

Sure. Credit is appreciated but not required.

    Who/What inspires you?

My art style is influenced equally by Western cartoons and Japanese anime; I find religious and folk art particularly inspiring as well. I also derive a lot of inspiration from the art that my friends and family create and the music I like to listen to. As for my writing, I find historical and esoteric texts pretty inspiring, at least as far as my story’s magic system worldbuilding goes. I also think the Bible is pretty inspiring with its stories of miracles and triumph over evil, and I’ve taken a lot of storytelling cues from the 90s Renaissance-era Disney films. I grew up reading a lot of Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, and Diana Wynne Jones so I think I can count them as influences too.

Will you ever make comics again?

Probably not, it was fun while it lasted but I got burnt out pretty quickly. I’ve decided that going forward, any stories I want to tell will be conveyed in a fully-written format for the sake of my sanity.

How did you learn to make art?

I took a basic art class when I was in middle school since I was required to, but I never paid attention to any of the lessons and I admittedly did not learn very much. Everything important I’ve either taught myself or learned through trial and error.

How did you make this website?

With Neocities and a very limited knowledge of HTML/CSS leftover from my Tumblr custom theme layout days.

Can I copy the code from your website to make my own?

It’s fine. I can’t really stop anyone from doing this, and my layout isn’t super original anyway. If you choose to do this, please try to at least make it somewhat unique and not a 1:1 clone of my website.

What does ‘The Laconic Student's Dilemma’ even mean, anyway?

It’s a long story. Maybe one day I will explain it to everyone!
