Today was quite excellent; I'd say it was like something out of a daydream. I got to visit the HMS Surprise (the ship from the film Master and Commander)!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was too cramped to take many photos inside of the Surprise, but I did get some good ones of me inside the adjacent Star of India gazing upon her and quite a few shots of her exterior and deck. I'd share all the photos here but there's literally hundreds of them.

What an amazing experience! Being on the Surprise really felt like I'd been transported into the film... I already want to go back, LOL. And to top it all off, when I got home, my new Cardiacs CDs were in the mail!!!!! Yes, today was custom-made for me, I think. Life is truly amazing sometimes.

So recently I've begun keeping a little journal to keep track of concept art and various lore bits for The Laconic Student's Dilemma.

I drew up the cover all nice to look like an actual book, I might go back and bedazzle it a bit more since I have these tiny gem-like stickers that could look cool in each corner. IDK. I think it looks cute enough already, maybe I won't add anything else.

I'm honestly a bit tempted to create a separate page in the 'PROJECTS' section of the art gallery where I upload the contents of this journal... Maybe once I've finished writing all the stories? A lot of the things I've drawn and written in here will only make sense to me right now, and of course there's lots of spoilers for future volumes considering that I'm drawing and writing about events that haven't been published here yet.

I felt better for a few days, but now I'm sick again (´；ω；｀) What horrible luck! I think that this time it probably isn't covid, though.

JAN. 31

I have never had an interest in numerology until today. My mother is a practicioner of many different types of magic (guess that's why I've always been fascinated by it), and one of her big things is numerology. Today she felt as though I needed some spiritual guidance (which is true since I'm at a really tumultuous period of life), so she tallied up the numbers of my birthdate to determine my "life path" and made a seventeen-page booklet for me to ruminate over. She surmised my life path is "3", and reading over what she'd written, I truly am a "3". "3s" are creative people who are pleasant to be around, but are oftentimes too people-pleasing for their own good. She also pinpointed some issues that "3s" commonly face, and she calculated how I should deal with them in shadow work.

Yesterday's fever, at its peak, reached 105°f (roughly 40°c). I became delirious for some time and it was genuinely one of the most terrifying things I have ever experienced in my entire life. I ended up testing positive for covid this morning, which I guess explains the fever.

Things are looking pretty rough.

Was complaining to my boyfriend earlier this evening about how R*yal M*il is UTTERLY USELESS when it comes to tracking packages when I heard a strange little voice in my head telling me to check my mailbox...

Upon seeing the contents of my mailbox, I nearly puked in excitement. The CDs arrived much earlier than I'd expected them to, so the moral of the story here is that R*yal M*il works in mysterious ways I suppose. When I get my next paycheck I ought to order more Cardiacs CDs. I've got my eye on Guns, The Seaside, and Songs for Ships and Irons.

Really brief summary of last year's works. It got drab towards the middle half of the year so my 2026 plan is to use more vibrant colors.

My new year's eve was surprisingly uneventful. Saw Zootopia 2 in the theatre, then ate chicken wings and watched the ball drop on TV.

It's still flooding in some places, and probably will continue to for a while. Praying for the safety of everyone affected tonight.
